Sam the Record Man Sign a Heritage Site at Yonge/Dundas, Toronto

Sam and Jack originally created and built the iconic 25' spinning neon record display on Yonge Street in 1971. When the Sniderman family closed their operations in June of this year, a public group intent on 'saving the sign' created a website on Facebook and within a week and-a-half 12,000 people signed up.

Subsequently the City of Toronto declared the sign a Heritage Site. Recently three trade magazines published stories about the sign and the Markles (Sign Media in Canada, plus Signs of the Times and Sign Business in the US).
